I was looking through my mom’s photo albums last week at all of my baby pictures. I instantly fell in love with this one. This was before I had the surgery to close my cleft lip. I used hate my baby pictures because of how prominent my lip was. But it felt really good to be past it, look at this photo and realize the beauty in it. And come on. I had the best cheeks. ^^

So I finally got a tattoo. I’ve been thinking about this one for a while. It’s above the scar from my first major surgery when I was 11. I had bone scraped from my hip and put into the gap in the roof of my mouth from my cleft palate. It has a lot of meaning to me and I’m really happy with it. It hurt a lot though. Squeezed Ian’s hand so hard the whole time. Totally worth it.
